Hi Guitar Mates Hope your doing well. In this lesson we are going to do something a little different. We are going to checkout a Funk 49 by The James Gang. Just for the younger Guitar Mates out there, James Gang was a 3 piece band featuring the talents of Joe Walsh on vocals and guitar.
The song was released as a single taken from the 1970 album The James Gang Rides Again. Or Just Rides Again as the album was commonly known at the time.
Funk 49 has been featured in numerous Movies and TV shows including Guardian Of The Galaxy, War Dogs, & For All Mankind. The song has such an infectious groove, once you start playing it you don’t want to stop.
